Knottingley’s community brass band
Generations of stories, a room full of sound, and a warm Yorkshire welcome for audiences and players alike.
Our story
Knottingley has heard the sound of its town band for more than 160 years.
The band’s story can be traced back to 1861, when records note a donation to Knottingley Town Band. Since then, generations of local players have brought music to concerts, contests, celebrations and moments of remembrance.
That tradition continues today. We’re proud to represent Knottingley, support our community and keep brass-band music thriving for the next generation.
